Homeschool Mini Expo and Valentine’s Craft Fair

On Sunday, February 10 from 1 to 5pm, we’ll be at Marbletown Elementary School to benefit their PTA. We’ll have two stations where visitors can make animated Valentines that they can email to their friends and families.

Then, on Tuesday, February 12 from 1:30 to 3pm, we’ll be at the Homeschool Mini-Expo at Gardiner Library. We’ll be joining other educators and program facilitators who cater to the rich homeschool community of our area.

Flick Book Studio at WAAM

We’ll be in an exhibition in the YES gallery of the Woodstock Artists Association Museum. There will be a monitor showing a collection of our videos on a loop that will run continuously during the museum hours. There will also be photos from our past year on the wall. The show runs from October 6th to November 4th. There is a reception on Saturday, October 6th from 4 to 6 pm. Hope to see you there!

The New Horizon

We are starting to enter our clips in animation and film festivals around the world! The first batch goes to Savannah International Animation Festival and the Sommets du cinéma d’animation de Montréal (Montréal animated film summit). For start, I have selected Ihor Shuhan’s Wormhole Travel and Shotaro Sessions’s A Horse and His Man. This is very exciting, and will give our artists concrete goals to work towards. There is nothing more effective than the real world exposure to help artists grow.

Our New Mic!

Meet our new gadget, Apogee mic. We do a lot of voice-over recordings in our studio, but until now, we had to put up with the default mic in the computer. We are finally able to invest in a high quality mic, and this is what we decided on. It is a USB mic, compatible with Mac, iPhone, and iPad. It is compact yet heavy and sturdy, and I’m already very happy with the quality of the sound it captures. No more muffled voices! Who is going to be the first one to use it?
